Friends John and Carey both asked me today for a status on the Airstream known to me as Wandalene. They were both enjoying the bayfront view on the sidewalk between the Pier Street boat ramp and the American Legion hall. And both of them put their questions to me within 30 minutes. So, I promised to post tonight photographic proof that Wandalene (Airstream bare shell) has been successfully refitted into her skateboard (tandem axle trailer).
And I’ll say this, speaking of friends, I could not have married the bare shell to the trailer without the help of Caleb Frego and Wayne Woolbright and Mark Couto. Also, our project manager, Little Dog Bobby. No way a man, any man, could have single-handed that job! And I was the only one who suffered a (minor) workplace injury during the two days of hard work.
Without, as they say, further ado, I will save those thousand words each picture is said to be worth, and post pictures that speak for themselves.
Love me an Airstream on Skateboard
Hearts, speckles & paws speaks of Bobby’s delight. Three amigos in the doorway…friends, one of life’s best gifts. May your minor injury mend rapidly with more visual sharing soon. Thank you for sharing this new venture.
While I enjoyed your narrative update at Magnolia Beach Park yesterday, I really enjoyed “seeing” your progress! Thanks.
Damn, that girl sure has a nice deck and trucks!! The metamorphosis of this lovely creature is so awesome.
Big project! Like “The Post of Tolstoy Park:…..”The Writer of Wandalene”. Keep those posts and adventures coming our way! Enjoyed!
